Hospital board names officers

Greater Regional Health board approved its officers during its meeting Tuesday.

Board members named Chairman Dave Driskell; Vice Chairman, Jack Davis; Secretary, Sherry McKie and alternate treasurer, Tom Lesan. Other board members are Julie Lanning and Ken Stultz. There is a vacancy because of Tom Dunphy’s resignation in December.

A public hearing for the next fiscal year budget was scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. There is no increase in tax asking, according to Chief Financial Officer Matt McCutchan. The hospital’s revenue from taxes are $1.14 million.

Bids for the proposed work at the Creston clinic, Mount Ayr clinic and a new one planned in Greenfield are expected to be reviewed in April. Changes in plans for the Creston work rescheduled the bid letting timing as it was to be reviewed Jan. 30.

Approval was made for a $1,000 Learning Center of Southwest Iowa grant which supports operations and children with learning differences.
