Creston Winter Guard wins state

Creston High School Winter Guard takes home the state championship title for the third year in a row at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

All six soloists, Trinity Woody, Gracelyn Spencer, Bridget Hopkins, Abby Collins, Saige Johnston and Ami Patel, received division one ratings with Woody earning first place and Hopkins placing second amongst the field of performers.

This is the fourth year in a row Creston has had the top performer and the sixth time in seven years Creston has brought home the team title.

“I’m so proud of these incredible students,” Creston band director Michael Peters said.
