Entrants of Chamber holiday decor contest announced

Entrants of the Creston Chamber of Commerce’s 2021 Outdoor Holiday Decorating Contest have been released and the public is asked to vote for their favorites by calling the chamber by Dec. 12.

Residential categories are:

• A Classic Christmas

• Most Creative Use of Lights

• Best Overall Individual Display (may vote for same residence as above if you wish)

• Best Overall Neighborhood Display

Winning residential entries will be determined by public vote and $50 in Creston Bucks will be awarded to the top display in each individual category. A minimum of $100 will be awarded to the winning neighborhood display.

Business categories are:

• Best Window Display

• Most Creative Use of Lights

• Best Overall Individual Business (may vote for same business as above if you wish)

• Best Overall Group of Businesses

Winning business entries will also be determined by public vote and trophies will be awarded to the winning entries.

The contest runs through Sunday, December 12. Votes will be tabulated through Tuesday Dec. 14 and the winners announced on Wednesday Dec. 15.

Both the residential and business entry addresses are available on Facebook, Twitter, our Webpage or stop by the Chamber for a copy.

Voters are asked to drive by ALL of the homes and businesses preferably at night for the full effect and vote once for their favorite display out of the first two categories and once for the best over-all display (this vote may be the same as your vote out of the first two categories).
