Meet the candidates Thursday

The Creston School Board meets on the third Monday of even month at 6 p.m. in the Creston Community School District administration building, 801 N. Elm St. Participation is also available via Zoom.

The Creston News Advertiser, KSIB Radio and Creston Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a candidate forum for those vying for a seat on the Creston School Board 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Allied Health and Science Center at Southwestern Community College, 1501 W. Townline St. Four candidates for the three open seats have been invited to take part in the forum. Those candidates include Leslie Wurster, Amanda Mohr and incumbents Galen Zumbach and Sharon Snodgrass.

The forum be moderated by Chamber Director Ellen Gerharz. The forum will be streamed on Panther TV at https://www.citylinktv.com/channel/creston-ksib-radio/.

In person absentee voting began Oct. 13 at the auditor’s office and be available until the day before the election, Nov. 1. The polls will be open Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Nov. 2.
