Patricia Lynn Schroeder, 52, 102 N. Sycamore St., was charged 8 a.m. Tuesday with violation of a no contact order at her residence.
According to a Creston Police report, Schroeder sent text messages to an individual with a no contact order in place.
Schroeder was cited and released on her summons to appear.

Michael Ray Simpson, Jr., 35, 402 N. Oak St., was charged 12 p.m. Tuesday on an Adams County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of domestic abuse assault at 102 W. Taylor St.
According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, on March 31, 2019, an individual reported that Simpson had placed his hand’s around the victim’s neck and punched them in the stomach. Later, Simpson wrapped extension cords around the victim’s neck.
Simpson was transported to the Adams County Jail without bond.

Daniel Edward Snyder, 35, 406 Washington St., Diagonal, was charged 5:34 p.m. Tuesday with public intoxication at 207 E. Montgomery St.
According to a Creston Police report, Snyder was found unresponsive next to the Montgomery Street Pub. After officers attempted to wake him up and he continued to be unresponsive, medics were paged to the scene. Medics cleared Snyder to continue with law enforcement. Snyder had alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and struggled to maintain balance. Snyder refused to deliver a breath sample but admitted to drinking out of a bottle of Fireball.
Snyder was being held in the Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Cory Wayne McKinney, 47, 706 N. Walnut St. was charged 1:37 p.m. Wednesday with driving while barred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Laurel Street.
McKinney was being held in the Union County Jail on $300 bond.
Daniel Marcus, Creston, reported 1:30 p.m. Monday that someone 24 hours prior had entered his vehicle and stole his wallet and the cash, credit cards and checks inside.
Estimated loss is $1,000.
