Farm to Fork: A locally sourced dining experience

In partnership with the Union County Development Association, the Farm to Fork Committee is shutting down part of Montgomery Street to host an authentic farm-to-table dinner. This will be a four-course family-style farm dinner featuring local Iowa produce, protein, and pairings and prepared by Chef Aaron Holt.

Many Iowans have a memory of sitting down at a farm table for dinner at some point in their lives. Farm to Fork is a night to honor those memories while celebrating local producers, farmers, and businesses which are the backbone of our community.

On Sunday, September 5, the community is invited to come together family style to eat great food, listen to live music, laugh, share some conversation, and celebrate Southwest Iowa.

Event details

Farm to Fork will take place in front of 403 W. Montgomery Street. Appetizers and cocktails will start at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Zachary Freedom will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Chef Aaron Holt was born and raised in Iowa. Growing up cooking with his mother (the best cook he knows), he was taught to use local and seasonal ingredients. His love and passion for food has led him to his culinary career, including as executive chef of RoCA where he earned the Iowa Restaurant Association’s 2018 Executive Chef of the Year award. Currently, he is a culinary consultant for Sysco Iowa and the owner of Doolittle Farm LLC, a 53-acre property that includes organic fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and micro-greens.
