Iowa State Savings Bank donates books to students

As part of tits Make Things Better Campaign, Iowa State Savings Bank donated a book to every elementary student in Creston and to students in Lenox. A total of 750 books were delivered to Creston Elementary, Lenox Elementary, St. Malachy and Mayflower Christian Heritage schools.

Students worked hard during a challenging school year to learn and grow. To reward their successful school year and encourage reading and literacy throughout the summer, students were each given a book to take home.

Part of Iowa State Savings Bank’s mission is to Make Things Better in the communities it serves. ISSB started a Make Things Better Campaign to highlight acts of kindness and community members, organizations, and businesses that are going above and beyond to better themselves and the communities. They are recognizing these efforts monthly with surprise meals, donations, and volunteering.

This year, ISSB has honored area electrical companies, snow removal crews, Creston Area Food Pantry, and Lenox students during the Iowa Assessments. It will continue to recognize efforts to Make Things Better throughout the year.
