COVID-19 vaccine update for Union County

Union County Public Health has continued to receive 200 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine weekly. Union County Public Health and Greater Regional Health are continuing to conduct vaccine clinics on Thursdays for those over the age of 65 within the community on Thursdays and work through Phase 1b Tier 1.

Union County Public Health was informed by the Iowa Department of Public Health that Union County will be receiving 300 doses this week of the COVID-19 vaccine. This continuous distribution of COVID-19 vaccines has helped public health to steadily work through the tiers that IDPH has instructed UCPH and GRH to do.

Today and Friday, Feb. 26, Union County Public Health will be able to do two clinics for the 65+ eligible population due to the increase in COVID-19 vaccines sent to Union County. To get signed up for the vaccine, individuals must be within the eligible group of 65 years and older.

Sign up one of two ways: Online at www.greaterregional.org or call the COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 641-782-0124 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For individuals that have received a vaccine from another location and have also signed up on GRH’s list, it is requested that they visit Greater Regional Health’s website to remove their name from the list by selecting the name removal form.
