Monthly dairy webinar focuses on executive analysis reports

Learn how to use dairy reports to the fullest advantage

March 2, 2021, 7:45 am | Fred M. Hall, ISU Extension and Outreach

ORANGE CITY – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team will continue its monthly webinar series with a look at executive analysis reports from noon to 1 p.m. March 17. Executive analysis reports are made available through the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, including the transition cow management reports and the udder health monitor report.

Greg Palas, manager of support services at Dairy Records Management Systems at Iowa State University, will present the program. Palas will provide a hands-on webinar reviewing report generation and points on using the reports to tweak herd management.

Fred Hall, dairy specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach, said executive reports are often underutilized despite providing valuable production information.

He said producers often get accustomed to one or two reports, and may not realize the full breadth of information available. The webinar will be an opportunity to help producers expand their reach. He said there is always something new for dairy producers to consider, even if they are already using executive reports.

Producers, dairy consultants and industry representatives can attend the webinar at https://iastate.zoom.us/my/dairyteamfredprogram. Registration is not required and participation is free.
