The Adair County Board of Supervisors met with the Madison County Board at Winterset Saturday to consider the establishment of a road running east out of Hebron at the Grand River forks. No definite decision was reached at the meeting. There is lively interest over the selection of the route. A proposed route is on the section line a mile north from Grand River township line, to the county road running north from Macksburg. Other proposals were to run it along the west side of Webster township in Madison County to No. 2 near Drake’s. Another route proposed was to allow the old Quincy stage road to Wight’s bridge. The Adair County supervisors have proposed the road from Orient through Hebron to the Madison line.
