The Adair County Auditor’s Office released Friday who will be in the June 2 primary election, as that was the deadline to file papers to run.
The deadline to withdraw paperwork for candidates was Wednesday, March 25. This Friday is the deadline for residents to object to an cadidate’s paperwork filing.
Candidates filing on the Republican ticket for supervisor district 2NE are incumbent Jodie Hoadley and Sara Shepherd. Incumbent Republican Nathan Baier is running for district 4SE supervisor unopposed.
Running unopposed for county office are Republicans Brenda Wallace for treasurer and Kelly Mitchell for recorder. Democrat Melissa Larson, another incumbent, is running unopposed for county attorney.
A few dates to remember going forward are that the last day to request an absentee ballott be mailed to you is 5 p.m. May 18, and postmark dates do not apply.
The first day to vote in-person absentee at the auditor’s office is May 13. This is also the first day the auditor’s office is allowed to mail ballots to requested absentee by mail voters.
The auditor’s office will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for in-person absentee voting Saturday, May 30, as well as other regular office business. Monday, June 1, is the last day to vote in-person in the auditor’s office.
