MWP Dinner Jan. 29 in Casey
Midwest Partnership Development Corporation invites community leaders, businesses and residents to attend its 2026 Annual Dinner Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Casey Community Building in Casey.
This year’s annual dinner will feature Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer as the evening’s keynote speaker and facilitator. The event will center around the theme “From the Ground Up: Honoring Our Roots, Shaping What’s Next,”highlighting the region’s strong foundation while looking ahead to future economic opportunities.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m., and the program at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Café on the Hill and a cash bar will be available.
In addition to the keynote address, attendees will hear from a local business panel. Panelists will share insights on entrepreneurship, community investment, and business growth within Adair and Guthrie counties.

Lions Club youth tournaments
The Greenfield Lions Club has its boys and girls basketball tournaments planned for Saturday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 8, respectively.
Both tournaments are for 5th/6th grade combined teams as well as 7th/8th grade combined teams. Price is $120 per team and teams are guaranteed two games. Medals will be given to first and second place in each division.
Doors will open 7 a.m. with games beginning at 8 a.m. both days.

The Lions are additionally hosting a youth wrestling tournament for pre-kindergarten through eighth graders Sunday, Feb. 15. Registration is $20 on Track Wrestling or $30 for walk-ins. There will be divisions for boys and girls. Tournament entries will close at 350 wrestlers.
Kids’ Entrepreneur Market

St. John’s Shrimp Boil
The St. John’s Catholic Church annual shrimp boil will be 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 at the church.
