Blazek 80th birthday open house planned

Celebrate with Vern Blake

The children of Vern Blazek invite you to celebrate his 80th birthday 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Greenfield United Methodist Church, 107 SW 5th Street.

Vern is a lifelong resident of Adair County and raised four children with his late wife Meridith: Irene, Linda, Glenda and Martin.

After retiring from farming, Vern could be found assisting with auctions and helping with the food pantry at the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

Caleb Nelson has served as News Editor of the Adair County Free Press and Fontanelle Observer since Oct. 2017. He and his wife Kilee live in Greenfield. In Greenfield and the greater Adair County area, he values the opportunity to tell peoples' stories, enjoys playing guitar, following all levels of sports, and being a part of his local church.
