Names released for city/school vote

Election is Tuesday, Nov. 4

The Adair County city and school election is Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Ballot order for the candidates will be determined Monday, Sept. 22 by drawing lots in the Adair County Auditor’s office. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for candidates to withdraw candidacy paperwork as well as the deadline to object to paperwork, with the auditors office open until that time. The last time to petition for a satellite voting location for this election is 5 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Adair County Auditor’s office.

The first day to vote in-person absentee at the auditor’s office is Oct. 15. This is also the first day the auditor’s office is allowed to mail ballots to requested absentee voters. The last day to request a ballot to be mailed for absentee voting is Oct. 20. These requests must be received before 5 p.m. in the Auditor’s office (postmark dates do not apply).

Monday, Nov. 3 is the last day to vote in person absentee at the auditor’s office.
