Library friends celebrate past year

A luncheon was given on Saturday to celebrate events planned by Friends of the Greenfield Public Library throughout the year.

A few of the Community events sponsored by the group were:

• October: Halloween Party in conjunction with the Fire Mates Hotdog Supper

• In Early December the Friends decorated a tree in the Warren Cultural Center. The theme was “The Joy of Reading”

• December: Children’s Christmas Market for preschool and elementary-aged Shoppers to purchase items for four people at $.25 a gift.

• January: Family Snuggle Up with a Book

• July: The Friends had a booth in the Varied Industries Building at the Adair County Fair

• September: Annual Book Sale the weekend of the Swap Meet in the city hall meeting room

We welcome anyone to join the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library!
