Adair County Health System announces partnership with Iowa Allergy

Will provide allergy clinic for pediatrics, adults

Adair County Health System is excited to announce a new partnership with Iowa Allergy, the most advanced pediatric and adult allergy clinic in Iowa.

Beginning Thursday, June 19, Iowa Allergy will begin offering services right here in Greenfield at Adair County Health System, and they are now accepting patients.

Iowa Allergy is one of the few clinics in the country offering oral immunotherapy (desensitization) for milk, egg, and peanut allergies in both children (as young as 9 months) and adults. They also provide oral allergy drops for seasonal allergies (no needles!) and traditional allergy injections.

Conditions treated include (but are not limited to): hay fever and environmental allergies, food allergies, asthma, drug allergies, eczema, rashes, itching and hives, sinusitis and chronic cough, stinging insect allergies and anaphylaxis, immune deficiency and recurrent infections.

“We are proud to welcome Iowa Allergy to Adair County Health System and to our community,” said ACHS CEO Catherine Hillestad. “Access to specialized allergy and immunology care is a vital service for families in rural areas like ours. Bringing this level of expert care closer to home reflects our continued commitment to meeting the unique needs of our patients and enhancing the overall health of our small town.”

To learn more or to refer a patient, visit www.iowaallergyclinic.com or call 515-410-9400. Patients will contact the Iowa Allergy Clinic directly, but appointments will be scheduled to take place at Adair County Health System in Greenfield.

ACHS is proud to offer the community expanded access to expert allergy and immunology care, right here at home.
