NEW Cooperative gives to Adair Co. 4-H

Contribution makes tuition lower for kids

Adair County Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage (right) receives a contribution from NEW Cooperative communications specialist Riley Hisocks to go toward a portion of dues for 4-Hers in the county.

The NEW Cooperative Foundation continued their commitment to supporting local 4-H youth recently, donating $109,360 to 38 county extension and outreach offices, which will support 5,468 individual 4-H members.

The contribution from the Foundation pays for half of each 4-H member’s dues in NEW Cooperative’s trade territory counties, which include Adair, Adams, Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Cherokee, Clarke, Clay, Crawford, Decatur, Dickinson, Emmet, Franklin, Fremont, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Harrison (Missouri), Humboldt, Kossuth, Lucas, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Ringgold, Sac, Taylor, Union, Warren, Wayne, Webster, Woodbury and Wright.

“NEW Cooperative takes great pride in supporting its area youth 4-H programs. We strongly feel that 4-H helps youth build the necessary foundation to become future leaders in our local communities,” NEW Cooperative Communications Director Gary Moritz said.
