The Nodaway Valley Community School District is proud to announce the selection of Mr. Logan Doty, pending school board approval, as its new high school principal.
Doty brings a passion for student-centered leadership and a strong background in educational administration to this position, a press release from Nodaway Valley said. He currently serves as assistant principal of Fort Madison Elementary School where he has played a pivotal role in fostering a favorable school climate while enhancing student achievement. Prior to that, he was dean of students at Fort Madison Middle School, supporting students and staff through responsive behavioral systems and assisting with leadership of school operations.
With more than three years of educational leadership experience, Doty has led initiatives that have improved academic performance, strengthened school culture and deepened community engagement. He worked closely with staff and students to establish clear behavioral expectations and oversaw Tier 1 behavioral supports to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
Before stepping into administrative roles, Doty taught seventh and eighth grade social studies, bringing firsthand classroom experience to his leadership style.
Doty holds a bachelor of arts degree from Culver-Stocton College in Canton, Missouri, and a masters of science in education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
“I’m excited to join Nodaway Valley High School as principal and become part of a community that values education, relationships and growth,” Doty said. “I look forward to leading and learning alongside our outstanding students and staff.”
Nodaway Valley Community School District leaders commented they are looking forward to the leadership, innovation and enthusiasm Doty will bring to the high school building and district.
The Nodaway Valley school board’s next meeting is 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 in the high school media center in Greenfield.
