Larry Elmer Frizell was born Nov. 3, 1938, to Elmer and Gladys (Gile) Frizell, the sixth of seven children. He graduated from Greenfield High School with the class of 1957. After graduating, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Bermuda. After mustering out of the Air Force, Larry briefly went to college in Maryville, Missouri, but college was not for him.

He began working, and between jobs, he traveled extensively, taking several cross-country trips up and down the east and west coasts on his Honda. He made the first trip on his Honda 160 and gradually worked up to his Gold Wing. He worked in several cities before calling Strong City, Kansas, his home. He drove a semi of swinging beef halves for IBP for years.

He took early retirement when IBP sold to Tyson and played with his toys, namely old tractors, fast cars and his motorcycles. Larry enjoyed his solitude and was a huge fan of Mad Magazine and Hank Snow. He thought no one was better than Hank.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Keith, Clare, Ivan and infant Dallas and sister-in-law, Pearl.

He is survived by his sister, Mary McInroy of Iowa City; sister-in-law, Isolde Frizell of Greenfield and his nieces and nephews.
