Linda R. Birdsong, 73, formerly of Greenfield, took a walk with the angels to be with the Lord in the early morning of Jan. 6, 2023, passing peacefully. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield.

Linda was born April 29, 1949, in San Diego, California. She spent most of her youth in Lakeside, California, after a short time living on a farm in southwestern Iowa. Following graduation from high school, she pursued secretarial work for a few years until beginning work with IBM Corporation in San Jose, California.
In the early 1990s, she moved to Idaho to be near her parents and continued her secretarial work while attending the local community college. In 2003, she moved to Alaska and worked as an executive assistant in the oil industry. Her position led to subsequent moves to Colorado and Texas while also voluntarily providing full-time care for her aging mother. She retired in 2014 to continue care for her mother and returned to reside in Post Falls, Idaho.
Linda was passionate about gardening and keeping her house and vehicles spotless. She was known by both family and friends as a strong, independent woman who was kind, sweet, and caring of family and friends.
Linda is survived by her brother, Lawrence and his wife Connie of Castro Valley, California; niece Sarah Camp; nephew, Lucas (Christina) Camp; three grand-nephews; a grand-niece and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond in 2007 and Ellen Camp in 2016.
