Nodaway Valley/O-M wrestling held its postseason awards banquet Friday, March 3 at Sixteen Oaks in Fontanelle. Coaches gave out several recognitions to wrestlers during the event.
Ironman Award Winners included Matt Nelson, Kasen Hansen, Keyin Steeve, Ashton Honnold, Trenton Warner and Carmine Shaw.
Honnold received recognition for having the most wins (47), pins (29) and takedowns (74) on the team. He was also given the Most Valuable Wrestler Award.
Aidan Kuster was given the Most Improved Award.
Slade Gettler and Bradley Gebbie took home the Impact Wrestler Awards.
Rudolf was recipient of the Grinder Award.
Brandon Raasch received the Wolverine Award.
Honnold received the Most Dedicated Award.
Steeve was Wolverine of the Future Award winner.
Shaw was Breakout Performer of the Year.
Warner received the Coaches Award and Scholastic Award.
Nelson finished with the most reversals (14).
Rudolf had the most escapes (32).
Shaw finished with the most technical falls (4) and most nearfalls (45).
