GIRLS HOOPS: Davis, Eisbach named all-district

The Nodaway Valley girls basketball squad has representatives on the Iowa Girls Coaches Association’s All-District teams that were announced Monday, Feb. 27.

Wolverine junior guard Lindsey Davis and freshman guard Izzy Eisbach are the two mentions for their team.

As of Monday, Davis was tied for second with West Liberty’s Kelsey Joens with 591 season points, a number that is second in the state regardless of division. She averaged 25.7 points per game. Davis was third (221) in field goal makes and field goal attempts (479) regardless of division.

Eisbach averaged 14.7 points per game. She hit 44 3-pointers on the year, which is second on her team. She had 93 steals and led the team with 101 assists. She was a 58.4% free throw shooter, second on her team of those with a significant amount of attempts.

Others on the All-Southwest District Team are Tyme Boetcher and Jaidyn Sellers of Panorama, Josie McCuddin of I-35, Clara Teigland of Treynor, Tegan Streit of Mount Ayr, Mya Moss of Logan-Magnolia, Delaney Goshorn of AHSTW, Kelly DeMeulenaere of Grandview Christian and Aliyah Humphrey and Alizabeth Jacobsen, both of Underwood. Panorama’s Kylee Boettcher was named Coach of the Year.

All-conference, all-region and all-state teams will be announced and published at a later time.
