SWAT girls prepare for superregional

The SWAT girls wrestling team, which is comprised of wrestlers from Nodaway Valley, Southwest Valley, CAM, Atlantic and Griswold, will travel Friday, Jan. 27 to a superregional meet held at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City. Action begins at 11 a.m.

The Valkyries have three wrestlers who are ranked, and the team is ranked ninth in the state. Ranked individuals are Ady Lundquist of Southwest Valley, Grace Britten of Nodaway Valley and Haley Armstrong of Atlantic.

There are two regional meets being held simultaneously at each superregional, so the top four girls at each weight of each regional meet move on to the state tournament, set for Thursday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, making it eight who will move on from each superregional site at each weight.
