Except for a little bit in the mountains out west, Camille Erickson had never seen snow before she recently relocated with her fiancee Patrick Blair to Greenfield, whose parents live here.
Hotel Greenfield announced Erickson recently filled the vacancy of hotel manager.
A native Southern Californian, Erickson most recently lived in Washington.
“I originally visited Iowa in the summer and fell in love with it,” Erickson said. “I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. I was enthralled by southwest Iowa, its hills, and all the green. I’m from an agriculture community myself, so I’m used to all the fields.”
Erickson said she enjoys the charm and historical detail of Hotel Greenfield, which was completed in 1920 and refurbished in the last decade.
She worked as a coffee barista and is excited to continue working in the hospitality industry, carrying on the work the owners locally have established to a high degree of quality.
