New manager at Greenfield Subway store

The Greenfield Subway store, at 212 SE Kent St., is under new management.

Jenny Dolph recently began managing the store. Originally from Griswold, she has experience at other restaurants in the area and is excited to be a part of the Greenfield community.

“I was in town and someone told me I should check with the Subway owner. I called him, he set up an interview with me the next morning, and he gave me the job,” Dolph said.

Dolph said she perceived that the Greenfield community wanted new management at Subway. She has already made small changes.

“They’ve already said it’s cleaner. I’m just doing what the community has asked,” Dolph said Thursday. “I’ve only been here three days. I haven’t made a sandwich for 29 years. It’s a good company to work for.”

As part of doing what the community asks for, Dolph hopes to become more involved in the community in various ways. A former high school sports mom, Dolph said she might do a contest this fall where customers guess the score of Friday football games.

“I’m going to try to do something fun for every sport,” Dolph said. “My kids are grown, so I’ve gotta do something.”

Dolph said she has been proud of her team of staff she has at the store.

One customer who came in said that he had not been into Subway for a long time, but he came in because a new message telling about new management was on the sign outside.
