Nine members of the Orient Community Schools Class of 1961, pictured above, met on September 25th at the Old Hotel in Greenfield. They enjoyed a delicious meal catered by the Olive Branch.
Consolidation was in the process at that time period; Richland, Nevinville, Zion and Orient reorganized to create the Orient Community Schools. This was the only class graduating with that name, with a class of 31 students. Nine classmates have passed and were honored with a special display.
