Wolverine boys collect 13 medals at Clarke

OSCEOLA — Nodaway Valley boys track traveled to Clarke Thursday for a boys meet there.

In the Class A division of the meet, Central Decatur won with 125 points, followed by Interstate 35 second, scoring 113. Nodaway Valley was fifth with 68.

Tristan Randol started off the scoring for the Wolverines, medaling in the discus with a fifth-place throw of 83 feet, 4 inches.

On the track, Doug Berg won (10:36.66) and Ben Breheny was second (10:43.53) in the 3,200-meter run.

The 4x800-meter relay (Toby Bower, Nathan Russell, Breheny and Berg) was second with a time of 9:04.37.

In the sprints, Jonathan Gebbie was fifth in the 100-meter dash (12.71 seconds) and Adam Ayase was fourth in the 400-meter dash (56.50 seconds). Bower was second in the 800-meter run and Breheny was sixth (2:18.24). Ayase took fifth in the 200 (25.61) while Gebbie was sixth (26.27 seconds).

In the 1,600-meter run, Bower was second (4:46.44) while Berg was third (4:55.67).

In the 4x400-meter relay (Adam Ayase, Avery Phillipi, Russell and Tony Ayase) was third (3:54.83).

Nodaway Valley was scheduled to run Tuesday at Interstate 35′s home meet.
