Fifteen individuals going on to state speech in Creston March 13

A total of 28 individual performances were given in a district speech contest held at Nodaway Valley High School on Saturday. Fifteen individuals are going on to the state contest and 21 received Division I ratings

Receiving Division I ratings were Abigail Piearson and Jordan Kreager, musical theater; Brooklyn Jackson and Malachi Broers, interpretive poetry; Cache Kennedy, improvisation; Cadence Firch, storytelling and interpretive prose; Hope Kading, interpretive prose; Genevieve Livingston, expository; Isabella Hogan, original oratory; Jennifer Holliday, radio news; Sophia Broers, acting; Karley Shannon, acting and literacy program; Kaylie Welsch, literacy program; Olivia Funke, public address; Riley McCall, after dinner speaking.

Others participating were Aiden Kuster, Ashlyn Beaman, Benjamin Piearson, Brenna Mahoney, Delanie Brown and Kerigan Brown.
