FONTANELLE — The City of Fontanelle has two positions to fill with the city.
The city is currently taking applications for a city superintendent after Bob Rubio resigned from his post in the position recently. The council decided to take no action on the matter at their February meeting, instead electing to wait until five or six applicants have put their name in for the job, then they will proceed with interviews.
The city council also has a vacancy after Rex McDowall decided to pull away from the council recently. McDowall had been serving on the council since he joined to fill a vacancy.
According to City Clerk Amanda Held, anyone interested in filling the open council position may express interest to a council member, the mayor or City Hall and they will be advised of the appropriate next steps to take.
There were no written inquiries or people present at the February meeting interested in the open council seat.
