NVS board to consider early retirement applicants midday Friday

GREENFIELD — Nodaway Valley school board members will meet 12:30 p.m. Friday in the superintendent’s office conference room to consider any applications they have received for early retirement.

The board chose Dec. 2 to offer the incentive to up to six employees with a clause included allowing them to offer it to more employees if it is deemed necessary. The incentive comes with a $20,000 cash payout.

At the time, Nodaway Valley Superintendent Paul Croghan indicated there being 16 meeting the criteria.

The deadline to apply was Friday and applicants for the incentive and by law have one week to rescind their paperwork.
