Union County Sheriff

Adam Lee Stichter, 25, 712 5th St. in Lorimor, was charged 6:22 p.m. Oct. 27 with possession of a controlled substance at the intersection of Highway 169 and 140th Street.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Stichter was stopped by law enforcement for a traffic violation on Highway 169. During an investigation of his vehicle, it was discovered that Stichter was in possession of two white plastic containers containing marijuana wax and admitted so. Stichter also had two plastic baggies containing white pills that Stichter stated were hydrocodone pills. He told the officer he has a prescription for them but that the container was at home. It was also discovered a black and clear grinder with marijuana residue and a glass straw with wax residue were in Stichter’s possession.

Stichter was released from the Union County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Gwen Buck of Creston reported that sometime in the last few weeks, someone entered her storage unit and took an antique coffee table, antique lamp, plant stand, silverplate flatware service for eight, storage cart, tools, and clothing. Estimated value of the items taken is $1,220.00.
