Dustin Michael Boyd, 27, 507 N. Elm St., was charged with public intoxication, assault on a police officer without injury and disorderly conduct 9:09 p.m. Wednesday at 301 W. Adams St.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a fight at The Lobby involving a large group. The incident was already resolved upon their arrival. As police were speaking with a witness, a man stepped out from behind a corner and threw a beer bottle at an officer which hit the table next to him. The man attempted to leave the scene but was detained. A witness told officers that Boyd had been involved in the fight and was also the individual who had thrown the bottle. Boyd refused a preliminary breath test.

Boyd was being held in the Union County Jail on $1,600 bond.

Lester Dunlap, 808 W. Adams St., reported 9:17 p.m. Wednesday that sometime between 5:30 and 9 p.m. Wednesday he had two tires slashed on his car while it was parked in the alley behind his residence.

Estimated loss was $100.

Kenneth Weaselhead, 400 S. Division St., reported 5:28 a.m. today that the back window of his car was broken out while parked at his residence.

Estimated loss was $200.
