Creston
Mayor Carroll has designated Creston’s Beggars’ Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31, Residents should follow all COVID-19 and CDC social distancing guidelines; maintaining 6-foot distance, candy should be handed out in individualized Ziploc or brown paper bags, masks/face coverings should be worn.
Afton
Trick-or-trunk-or-treat in Afton Square will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31. On the same day the town is having their open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a tour of the new Wi-Fi Center, Bull Durham Mural, The Greenway (Pocket Park) and the new Parklet (movable patio) which will be set up on the south side of the square.
Lenox
Lenox is having their “Spook Parade.” as a drive-through this year. The drive-through starts at Lenox High School, 600 S. Locust St. from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31. Goodie bags and hot dogs will be available at the end of the parade.
Greenfield
Greenfield has made no official announcement about trick-or-treating and will not be making an official announcement due to COVID-19, city officials said recently. Trick-or-treating in town is traditionally from 5 to 8 p.m. The Greenfield Firemates will have a drive through hot dog feed at the Greenfield Fire Station from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Halloween. “Spook the Loop” in Greenfield is officially canceled, although some businesses on the square may choose to take part in trick-or-treating.
Mount Ayr
Mount Ayr trick-or-treating will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. They are having a Halloween event: “Nightmare on Madison Street” with a haunted house, $10 admission from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 23, 24, 30 and 31.
