‘Tools for Family Caregivers’

Connections Area Agency on Aging is offering “Tools for Family Caregivers,” an evidence-based class starting Jan. 12 to benefit family caregivers.

Powerful Tools for Family Caregivers provide caregivers with tools and strategies to better handle the unique challenge caregivers face.

Caregivers may be helping a relative or friend with transportation, housekeeping, grocery shopping, personal care, medications, emotional support, or doctor appointments.

Classes meet online via Zoom. Optional Zoom practice sessions will be once a week for six weeks starting Jan. 12 and ending Feb. 16, 2021, 1:30 to 3 p.m. or 6:30 to 8 p.m. Each class runs 90 minutes and is for caregivers of adults with chronic conditions.

Class size is limited, registration is required by Jan. 4, 2021 to ensure materials will arrive on time or upon filling the class. The Caregiver Helpbook and handouts will be mailed. There will be no cost for the program but there will be an opportunity to donate.
