Union County Sheriff

Kevin Edward Connelly, 63, 110 Nebraska Ave. in Lorimor, was charged with trespassing 5:36 p.m. Sunday.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Connelly refused to leave the residence of a victim after being asked to do so several times. A physical altercation ensued between Connelly and the victim. Connelly admitted to officers that the victim did ask him to leave.

Connelly was released from the Union County Jail after pleading guilty to the charge.

Marissa Kae Waigand, 20, 201 E. Filmore St. in Afton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 5:11 p.m. Monday at her residence.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, officers responded to a domestic disturbance and found Waigand inside smoking what appeared to be a cigar and smelled the odor of marijuana in the room. Police also observed a bong with residue in it, which Waigand admitted she uses to smoke marijuana.

Waigand was transported to the Adams County Jail where she was held on $300 bond.

Michael Dean Craig, 48, 110 Kansas Ave. in Lorimor, was charged with public intoxication 3:34 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 1st Street and Nebraska Avenue in Lorimor.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Craig was shouting threats at residents of a home on 1st Street. Deputies observed him to have bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. Craig admitted to being intoxicated and failed a preliminary breath test.

Craig was released from the Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Amanda Pike of Creston reported on 12:14 p.m. Monday that sometime over the weekend someone entered her storage unit in Creston and took Little Debbie products.

Estimated loss was $160.
