Adair County Sheriff

Melissa Sue Anderson, 45, 600 Cass St. Apt. 3 in Adair, was charged with assault 4:19 p.m. Oct. 11 on Interstate 80.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, police responded to a report of a physical dispute between Anderson and a victim at a rest area and later found Anderson at her residence, as she had left the scene before deputies arrived. Anderson admitted to slapping the victim in the face during a confrontation.

Anderson was released from the Adair County Jail on her promise to appear.

Andrea Karrisa Wilbourne, 32, 204 NE 4th St. in Greenfield, was charged with operating while under the influence 1:29 a.m. Oct. 12.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, police responded to a call for assistance with an intoxicated female who had struck a transformer with her vehicle, resulting in a power outage. Deputies conducted field sobriety tests at the Adair County Sheriff’s office due to weather conditions and Wilbourne failed a preliminary breath test.

Wilbourne was released from the Adair County Jail on $1,000 bond.

David Boyce McIntosh Junior, 33, 615 SW 7th St. Apt. 15 in Stuart, was charged with domestic abuse assault 4:43 p.m. Oct. 12.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, McIntosh forcefully slammed a victim’s arm in the driver’s side car door of a vehicle. Two witnesses corroborated the victim’s claims, adding that McIntosh also pushed the victim inside the car and slammed the door on her arm a second time. A third witness showed deputies a video clip of the incident from her cellular phone. The victim’s hand and arm were observably red and slightly swollen and a no contact order was requested.

McIntosh was released from the Adair County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Jackson Lee Norton, 28, 615 SW 7th St. Apt. 1 in Stuart, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon 6:18 p.m. Oct. 13 on the 100 block of SW 5th Street in Stuart.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary and found three individuals standing in the street. Norton and a victim appeared to be arguing. The victim told deputies that Norton had a knife and had tried to stab him. Norton confessed to having a knife in his pocket which police confiscated. The third individual and the victim later stated that Norton had also punched the victim several times in the face and neck and pushed him to the ground. The victim had minor scrapes on his arms and legs.

Norton was released from the Adair County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Erich Sean Johnson, 36, 1108 McPherson St. in Casey, was charged with driving while barred after being stopped for a traffic violation 11:23 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 80.

Johnson was released from the Adair County Jail on his promise to appear.
