EveryStep Hospice

This year has been anything but normal for many Iowans. COVID-19 has required families to make changes to their daily routines. Many aspects of life have also cause added grief, such as suffering the loss of loved ones.

With social distancing measures in place, many families and individuals have been unable to honor and grieve their loved ones through funerals, memorial services and celebrations of life.

With that in mind, EveryStep Hospice invites community members in Creston and neighboring communities to attend “Touching Our Grief,” a free, virtual support group taking place this fall. It’s an ongoing support group for adults who have suffered the loss of a family member or friend and are seeking support and education.

It is never too late or too early to seek support after the loss of a loved one. These uncertain and unusual times make seeking support vital for anyone grieving.

The virtual group, led by expert bereavement counselors, will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the second Thursday of every month beginning Nov. 12. The group will meet via Microsoft Teams, a program available to anyone with an internet connection.

Those interested in joining this support group, may contact Patti Albert at 641-342-2888 or email palbert@everystep.org.
