Alex Richard Cunningham, 30, 1024 Crest Dr., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a Union County warrant on the original charge of first-degree harassment 12:04 p.m. Monday at his residence.
According to a Creston Police report, officers were invited to listen in on a phone conversation between a victim and Cunningham. Officers heard an individual threaten the victim and call him rude names, were able to identify Cunningham as the individual speaking and announced their presence on the line. Later, a search warrant for Cunningham’s cellular phone was served.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers observed the odor of marijuana coming from the house and observed a glass bong in plain view. After being granted permission to search the home, officers discovered 16 grams of marijuana.
Cunningham was released from the Union County Jail on $3,300 bond.
