Brian Louie Peterson, 49, 709 Guthrie St. Apt. A in Adair, was charged with a controlled substance violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to obtain a controlled substance tax stamp and unlawful possession of prescription drugs 3:08 p.m. Sept. 15 at his residence.
According to an Adair County Sheriff's report, a search warrant was obtained by police for Peterson's residence. Officers found more than five grams of methamphetamine, baggies, weighing scales, glass pipes and currency. During the execution of the search warrant, a female stopped by the residence seeking to purchase methamphetamine from Peterson.
Peterson was being held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Pamela Sue Bruns, 50, 2712 270th St. in Greenfield, was charged with domestic abuse assault impeding flow of air 4:43 p.m. Thursday at her residence.
According to an Adair County Sheriff's report, a victim stated that she and Bruns had a verbal argument and Bruns placed her in a choke hold applying pressure with her arm to her neck area, impeding her ability to breathe normally. A witness stated that Bruns had placed her arm around the victim's neck for three to five seconds.
Bruns was released on her promise to appear.
