Dakota Storm House, 23, 207 NW 2nd St. Apt. 4, Greenfield, was charged with domestic abuse assault 6:20 p.m. Sept. 6 at his residence.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, House grabbed a victim around the legs and dropped her to the floor. Officers observed marks on the victim’s thighs and behind her right knee.

House was released on $1,000 bond.

Summer Ann Barr, 20, 207 NW 2nd St. Apt. 4, Greenfield, was charged with domestic abuse assault 7:44 p.m. Sept. 6 at her residence.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Barr tore off a victim’s shirt causing injury. Officers observed marks on his back and left shoulder.

Barr was released on $1,000 bond.

Mark Aaron Hoepker, 33, 3076 Victor Ave., Orient, was charged with third-offense operating while under the influence and driving while revoked 10:33 p.m. Sept. 6 on the 2800 block of Bridgewater Road in Bridgewater.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, officers observed a female passenger reaching across her body to put on a seat belt while Hoepker stopped the 1996 Chevy at a stop sign. As the Chevy turned south on Bridgewater Road, officers ran the license plate and learned that Hoepker’s license was revoked. Officers smelled the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from Hoepker and administered field sobriety tests. He refused a preliminary breath test, but officers observed other signs of impairment.

Hoepker was released on $500 bond.

Austin Anthony Devaney, 22, 405 Jay Way, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, and Danielle Lynette Schultz, 22, 22386 Evergreen Circle, Forest Lake, Minnesota, were each charged with a controlled substance violation; Devaney at 4:12 a.m. and Schultz at 4:59 a.m. Sept. 8 on Interstate 80.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, officers arrived on the scene of a three car accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 80. After arranging for the 2015 Nissan to be towed and offering to give both Devaney and Schultz a ride, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from one of their bags. Devaney admitted to possessing marijuana, and both he and Schultz stated that they had purchased it together in Colorado.

Devaney and Schultz were each released on $5,000 bond.

Brian James Keith, 51, 209 Koppe St., Walnut, Iowa, was charged with operating while under the influence 8:35 a.m. Sept. 8 at the northwest Sunny Hill Cemetery entrance in Adair.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, officers responded to a traffic complaint and found Keith hunched forward and asleep at the wheel of a 2017 Hyundai with the vehicle running and his foot on the brake. Officers had to put the vehicle in park for him. Keith failed a preliminary breath test.

Keith was released on his promise to appear.

Eleazar James Hoffman, 38, 3047 Mahaska Ave., Des Moines, was charged on an Adair County warrant on the original charge of domestic abuse assault 9:45 a.m. Friday.

Hoffman turned himself in on this warrant and was released on $300 bond.
