Clint Hammons, 43, of Creston died Monday, Sept. 11, 2020, at his home due to cancer. A celebration of life sharing time will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave. in Creston. Social distancing will be observed. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Clint Ryan Hammons, son of William Hammons and Shannon (Delaney) Hammons, was born Oct. 9, 1976, in Creston. He graduated from Creston High School in 1996 and went on to study at Southwestern Community College. Clint had worked a paper route. He worked at Earl May’s and then with Pizza Hut.

In Feb. 2005, Clint began working with Wal-Mart in Creston. Later, he worked for a period with Precision Optical, before returning to Wal-Mart, working there until his health forced him to stop. Clint enjoyed video games, chess and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Randi Hammons; daughter Alice Hammons and a son Xander; his mother, Shannon Hammons of Creston; grandparents; Paulette Delaney of Creston; father-in-law Dan (Elaine Belew) Hulse of Creston; brother Chad (Amy) Hammons of Creston; nephews: Stone, Brandon and Conner Hammons.

Clint was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Irene Hammons and Larry Delaney and his father Bill Hammons.
