Clarinda meet
Lenox and Southwest Valley faced the tough weather in Clarinda Tuesday with the Tigers placing a runner in the top five again this season.
On the girls’ side, McKinna Hogan finished in fifth place, running a 22:06. Trinity Shimer, the other Tiger girl, finished in 46th place with a 30:24. Mizael Gomez took 41st as the lone boy runner for Lenox, finishing with a 22:30.
Southwest Valley finished in sixth place as a team on the girls’ side, putting up 148 points. Atlantic took the top spot with 23 points.
Sydney Davies was the top-scoring runner for the Timberwolves, finishing in 26th place after running a 25:22. Aubrey Boswell was close on Davies’ tail with a 28th place finish, running a 25:33. Halle Pearson took 35th place with a 26:39. For Southwest Valley’s boys, Blake Venteicher was the lone runner, taking 38th place after running a 21:54.
Senior Blake Venteicher was the lone runner for the Timberwolves boys squad, cutting over a minute off his time from last week for a new season best enroute to a 38th place finish.
