Adam Austin, 23, 208 S. Birch St., was charged withj domestic assault impeding flow of air or blood 6:02 p.m. Thursday at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, Austin placed his hands around the neck of a female victim, causing her airflow to keep off. The victim said Austin was trying to keep her from leaving the residence, and after placing his hands around her neck, he transitioned to a headlock.

Austin was being held in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.

Chandler Parker, 18, 1203 W. Jefferson St., was charged on a Union County warrant for the original charge of assault causing bodily injury 6:45 p.m. Friday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Parker was being held on $1,000 bond in the Union County Jail.

Emily Cook, 47, 519 Livingston Ave., was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated 8:18 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of North Vine and East Montgomery streets.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to the intersection in reference to a vehicle striking a street sign. Upon arrival, officers spoke to Cook, who was the driver of the car, and began to notice unsteady walking patterns, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Officers observed an open can of beer on the floorboard of the driver’s seat. Cook was administered a personalized breath test, which yielded a blood-alcohol content of .244, which is three times over the legal limit.

Cook was being held on $1,000 bond in the Union County Jail.
