Ruth Evelyn (Mitchell) Goldsmith of Corning passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at Corning Specialty Care at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 18 days. Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Corning First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jessica Paulsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Rose Cemetery south of Corning. Open viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020, at Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 701 7th St., Corning. Due to COVID-19, wearing of a face mask is recommended and social distancing will be practiced.
