Gibson Memorial Library announced that there is still plenty of time to participate in their summer reading program. There are programs available for all ages. Children up to to age three will keep their own special reading log and may receive a rubber duck upon completion. Children ages four through completing 4th grade can receive their reading log at the library and read for a variety of prizes. The teen program consists of a reading log and different “take and make” activities to complete at home. Adults can pick up their reading logs at the circulation desk. They only have to read 10 books to be entered into a drawing for great prizes. Each week through the end of July will feature a different scavenger hunt for all ages. The reading programs end August 7.
The Gibson Memorial Library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed Saturday. For more information on the summer reading programs and current library services, call 641-782-2277.
