Aaron Riepe, 40, 601 N. Oak St., was charged on a Union County warrant for violation of probation, with an additional charge of third or subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance 12:01 p.m. Saturday at his residence.
According to a Creston Police report, Riepe had been arrested for other infractions since having the terms of his probation set. When officers went to Riepe’s residence to serve the warrant, Riepe was asked to empty his pockets. While doing so, Riepe pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a pill bottle, handing them to a female civillian. The individual attempted to hide the pill bottle behind her back. When officers confiscated it, they found it to be containing marijuana.
Riepe was being held in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
