Barbara “Bobbie” Joan (Felthousen) McFee, daughter of Grace Elsie (Mascher) Felthousen and Robert Llewellyn Felthousen, was born Oct. 3, 1959, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She grew up in Nebraska and graduated from Plattsmouth High School, where she was a cheerleader and gymnast. She went on to further her education at Northwest Missouri State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in business. She later returned to school, earning a Bachelor in accounting and her CPA.

On March 26, 1983, Bobbie was united in marriage to Jeffery Alan McFee in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. They were blessed with two daughters: Kristina and Kimberly. She worked in several accounting, finance, and comptroller positions, including with Trolli/Gummy Bear; Wilfarm, LLC in Gladstone, Missouri; Gits Manufacturing and most recently at Vanmark. Bobbie had previously served on the Creston School Board for nine years, was a member of the Creston Rotary, and was affiliated with the First United Presbyterian Church in Creston.

Bobbie was known as a woman who liked to stay busy, especially once the kids went off to college. She and Jeff loved to travel together, mostly exploring new areas of the United States. She had many projects, her most recent and impressive being the total renovation of a lake home with Jeff in Osage Beach, Missouri. Bobbie called it her “happy place,” somewhere she could truly relax. She and Jeff enjoyed spending weekends alone at the lake house and sharing it with family and friends, making memories – many to the tune of “Margaritaville” by Jimmy Buffet.

Bobbie was endlessly proud of her two daughters Kristina and Kim. She supported and stood by them, offering advice and a listening ear about school, careers, love, parenting, loss and how to persevere. She loved them and made sure they knew they were loved. Bobbie’s newest loves were her granddaughters: Lenny, aged three, and Lou, one. She would tell anyone who asked — or didn’t — that she “LOVED being a grandma!” Favorite hobbies with her granddaughters included baking, painting nails, playing kitchen, swimming at the lake, and rocking with them in the middle of the night.

Bobbie is survived by her husband Jeff; two daughters Kristina (Caleb) Carroll of Ankeny and Kimberly McFee of Des Moines; two granddaughters Eleanor and Eloise Carroll; parents Robert and Grace Felthousen of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; two brothers Keith (Mickey) Felthousen of Murray, Nebraska and Steven (Brenda) Felthousen of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; mother-in-law Phyllis McFee of Creston; three sisters-in-law: Jeannie Gaffney of Olathe, Kansas, Joan McFee of Waukee and Carol (Steve) Baudler of Fontanelle; 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews and numerous other extended relatives and many friends she has met through the years.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her father-in-law Wilfred McFee in 2012 and brother-in-law Craig McFee in 2003.
