Randy Carter

Randy Carter, 60, of Creston died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. There will be no public services scheduled at this time. Randy Clayton Carter, son of Jacob Clayton Carter and Twila Joy (Feurt) Carter, was born Aug. 20, 1959, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Randy attended Gower, Missouri, community schools.

After moving to Creston, Randy began driving trucks for Shildberg’s. He later did farm work for area farmers before starting at Wellman Dynamics working as a rotary filer, cleaning castings for 25-plus years. Due to his poor health, Randy stopped working in 2012. Randy was a member of the Good Guys Car Club and tried to make it each year to the local car show over the 4th of July holiday.

Randy is survived by his fiancée Kathy Marckmann of Creston; mother Twila Carter of Creston; daughter Whitney Carter (significant other Brandon Whitfield) of Creston; three brothers: Rick (wife Michelle) Carter of Creston, Roger Carter of Creston and Rob Carter of Creston; an aunt Hazel Carter of San Antonio, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Randy is preceded in death by his father Jacob Carter, his grandparents Albert and Daisy Carter and Cleo and Myrtle Feurt; and five uncles: Leland (wife Eloise), Leo (wife Velma), Frank (wife Fanci), Donnie (wife Wonda) and Jack Carter.
