No citations were issued after an accident 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Pole Road.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Jordan Hoag, 29, of Creston was driving a 2004 Ford south on Pole Road and werved to miss a deer. In the process, Hoag damaged some fence and posts.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to Hoag’s vehicle and $1,500 to the property damaged.

No citations were issued after an accident 11:59 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of DollarFresh HyVee in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, Troy Carlson, 66, of Osceola was driving a 2020 Volvo tractor trailer through the parking lot and took a wide left turn, striking the back left tail light of a parked vehicle.

Estimated damage was $300 to Carlson’s vehicle and $1,500 to the parked vehicle.
