Father Kenkel 86th birthday, 60th ordination anniversary card shower planned

Friends and parishioners of Holy Spirit/St. Edward’s parish are planning a card shower to celebrate Father Leonard Kenkel’s 86th birthday May 28, as well as the 60th anniversary of his ordination June 5.

He served the Holy Spirit in Creston/St. Edward’s parish in Afton for 12 years, and previously at Christ the King, Holy Trinity and St. Peter in Des Moines and St. Boniface in Westphalia.
